1.2 What do I need in order to use Mailbox?

In order to use the Mailbox service, contact the EPO for a data clean-up for your company.

Then you must

  • appoint an administrator, who will assign access to the company mailbox
  • be a registered smart card holder
  • be defined as a Mailbox associate (to receive direct communications)
  • be registered with the EPO as a professional representative
  • use the smart card and PIN to log on

We strongly recommend that all professional representatives get their own smart card. Your smart card and smart card reader can be
ordered direct from the EPO website (www.epo.org).

Note: Once you have enrolled online for a smart card, you will receive an e-mail containing your enrolment form.
