3. Dates
Dates do not need to be entered in full in the search field.
If you only know the year of publication, filing or priority
of a patent application,
you can do a search with that.

4. Diacritical characters
Diacritical characters are not accepted by the search fields.
If you search on a name with diacritical characters (ä, ü, ö, à, á, â, è, é, etc.)
you should use the plain letter. If you search on a name with an apostrophe,
leave out the letters before the apostrophe and start with the next word.
Examples:
- Müller = Muller
- Citroën = Citroen
- L'Oréal = Oreal
