Accessing EPO Online Services

All transactions and communications in My.epoline take place in a secure environment, with different levels of authorisation corresponding to the requirements of particular services.

Public access

Go to the Online services section on the EPO website (http://www.epo.org/applying/online-services.html).
Click the name of the service you wish to use.

Password access

Go to the Register Alert homepage (http://www.epo.org/searching/free/register-alert.html), click "Username and password login", enter your username and password, and then click Login.

The username and password are the ones you received when you enrolled for EPO Online Services.

Usernames/passwords must be at least five characters long.

Please note that passwords are case-sensitive. This means that capitals and lower-case characters must be typed exactly as they were when the password was created.

If you are experiencing difficulties, try checking whether your CAPS LOCK key is on or off.

Smart card access

Your smart card must be in its holder, with the holder plugged into your computer.

In the Online services section on the EPO website (http://www.epo.org/applying/online-services.html), select a service and click Smart card login.
When prompted select the digital certificate that identifies you.
Enter your PIN code.
