What is Publication Information?

Publication Information is optional and it refers to the following publication items that can be added to any sequence:

  • Authors
  • Title
  • Journal
  • Volume
  • Issue
  • Pages
  • Date
  • Database accession number
  • Database entry date
  • Document number
  • Filing date
  • Publication date
  • Relevant residues

Creating an item of publication information

Add publication information to a sequence as follows.

  1. Right-click on the sequence or alternatively, right-click on the Publications node of that sequence and then select Create publication from the pop-up menu.

  2. Create publication window opens. Enter the publication information and press at the end on the button Create publication.

  3. The publication information item is now visible in the Sequence Browser:

  1. Open the publication information editor by right-clicking on the publication information item in the Sequence Browser:

    (Alternatively, you can double-click the publication item and the publication information editor will open)
  2. The publication information editor opens and you can change the data.

  3. Save the changes by pressing the Save button.

Delete a publication information item

Right-click on the publication information item in the Sequence Browser and select Delete publication from the pop-up menu:
