To create a new project, select File - New Project from the main menu.
Alternatively, press Ctrl+N.
The Create Project dialog appears. There are default values for all the mandatory elements. You are advised to customise these to your project.
- The project name is used only internally within BiSSAP. It will not be exported into the sequence listing. The project name must be unique.
- Invention title is the official invention title as it will appear in the generated sequence listing.
- Language is the language of the project.
- The default entry in the field Produced by is applicant. Other values need to be entered in exceptional cases, but not by you the applicant.
- File reference ID is an applicant's or an agent's file reference.
- Receiving office refers to the office to which the application is going to be filed or has been filed. To fill in this field, either type the ST.3 abbreviation (like GB, EP, etc.), or choose the correct value from the drop-down list. The other value is set automatically.
When you click Create, the project is created. You can inspect it in the Project Browser.
Expand it to see the structure of the new project.
