Editors are the main way to modify data in BiSSAP.
Each element has a specific editor. You start it by right-clicking the element in the browser and selecting the appropriate edit command.
When you modify a field, an asterisk (*) appears behind the editor name. All editors with unsaved changes are marked in this way, so it is easy to see where data has yet to be saved. Save your changes by pressing Control-S (Command-S in Mac OS X).
The editors perform some basic validation. For example, they will not save if you have not made entries in required fields. If the result of validation is negative, BiSSAP will tell you what is wrong.
If you try to close an editor without saving changes made, a confirmation dialog appears. This dialog allows you to save your changes or cancel the entire save operation.
Thesave mechanism is slightly different for the applicant editor.
When an element is deleted, all editors associated with that element are closed as well.
