Applicant Editor is an editor with which you can modify applicant data.

Types of applicant

There are two types of applicant:

  • natural
  • legal

BiSSAP does not allow you to mix these two types in any one applicant's address book. It provides a separate editor for each type.

General

Each applicant is composed of one or more address books. These address books are displayed in the table. Not all applicant data is represented by a column in the table.

To add an address book, fill in the required fields (marked with a red triangle), and click the Create contact button. The new address book is displayed in the table.

To edit an address book, double-click it in the table. The address book is loaded to the fields above the table.

To delete an address book, click it and then click the Delete button.

If the address book is modified and saved to the table by clicking the Apply changes button, the editor is marked with an asterisk on the editor tab. Save the applicant data by pressing Control-S (Command-S on Mac OS X).

Importing applicants from an ST.25 file

The ST.25 format uses only one unstructured text field for information about the applicants. There is no restriction on what this field can contain. BiSSAP tries to parse this field when the sequence listing is loaded from an ST.25 file, and asks you which type of applicant it is: natural or legal.

In such cases not all elements of the applicant structure can be filled in. BiSSAP accepts the applicant, but you will have to add the missing information if you subsequently edit that applicant.

Validation

The program validates the editor fields before save is performed

  1. if all required fields are filled
  2. if there is at least one address book in the table
  3. if there is at least one default address book
