If the sequence listing is filed after the date of filing, you must add the Application Reference.

Application Reference roughly corresponds to the fields <140> and <141> in the ST.25 standard.

Creating an application reference

  • Select the project in the browser. Expand it so that you can see the References list. Right-click the list. Select Create Reference from the pop-up menu.

  • The Create Reference dialog is displayed. The mandatory fields are marked with a red triangle.

    • Receiving office - the office to which the application was submitted. You can either enter the ST.3-compatible acronym in the first field, or choose the correct name from the drop-down menu.
    • Application number - the application number
    • Kind code - the kind code of the application
    • Name - the name of the applicant/grantee
    • Filing date - the filing date of the application.
  • Click Create application reference to complete the operation, or Cancel to cancel it.

Note:

There is no internal database of references like the one for applicants, so you have to create the references for each project separately.

Editing an application reference

To edit an application reference, start the application reference editor.

  • Select the project in the browser. Expand the tree so that you can see the the entries under References.
  • Right-click the reference. Select Edit Reference from the pop-up menu.

  • The editor will open, with the reference data loaded. Change the data as necessary.

  • The mandatory fields are marked with a red triangle. All other fields are optional.
  • Save your data by pressing the keys Crtl-S or (Command-S, if you are working with Mac OS X).
  • You can close the editor without saving, in which case you will be asked to confirm that this is indeed your intention.

Deleting an application reference

To delete an application reference:

  • Select the project in the browser. Expand the tree so that you can see the entries under References.
  • Right-click the reference. Select Remove Reference from the pop-up menu.

  • Answer yes to delete the reference, no to cancel.

To delete all application references in a project:

  • Select the project in the browser. Expand the tree so that you can see the the entries in the References.
  • Right-click References. Choose Remove All References from the menu.
